I believe in the value of good design, natural materials and quality craftsmanship. Trained by master mosaicists in Ravenna, Italy, I have more than 20 years' experience in custom mosaic projects ranging from floors and architectural detailing to art panels and furniture. My work can be found in homes, restaurants, and businesses throughout Italy and the US.

MONICA PISILLI

ARTIST / FOUNDER

Monica Pisilli was born in Ravenna, Italy, where she graduated from the Gino Severini Institute of Mosaic Arts and worked alongside several well-known practitioners in the field, as well as within Ravenna's most important studio for mosaic art, SICIS. In 2000, she joined with Francesca Gismondi to form Farmosaico, a mosaic art and design studio that has carried out a number of public and private commissions, including the Palazzo Ferriani in Faenza and Villa Melonari in Bologna. She was awarded the San Sebastian prize for mosaic art at the first International Biennale for Mosaic Art for a piece developed with Gismondi, and her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Ravenna, Milan, and throughout Italy. She now splits her time between Ravenna and New York.
